Sport Integrity
National Integrity Framework (NIF)
Integrity in sport means creating a safe, fair, and inclusive environment for everyone involved. The Queensland Curling Association is deeply committed to upholding integrity in our sport.
To help sports maintain integrity, the independent government agency Sport Integrity Australia developed the NIF, which the Australian Curling Federation (ACF) adopted in June 2022. The NIF consists of five policies that outline the expected behaviors for participants and organizations:
- Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy
- Member Protection Policy
- Improper Use of Drugs and Medications Policy
- Competition Manipulation and Sports Gambling Policy
- Complaints Disputes and Discipline Policy
Sport Integrity Education
When it comes to sport integrity, it is critical that our athletes and support personnel are aware of their rights and responsibilities. Sport Integrity Australia eLearning offers a number of online courses relating to sport integrity. There are different e-learning requirements and recommendations for athletes, coaches, support personnel, staff and volunteers. You can find more details on the ACF 2024 Education Plan here
